So, the inevitable happened and I signed up for Dusk til Dawn solo (I have to admit I was thinking about doing it anyway but was hedging my bets a bit to see how the Torq 12:12 went first...)

Anyone else up for it, come on teams and solos, you were fantastic, fancy doing it all again? I reckon we're due a lovely balmy evening after the trials of the Torq 12:12.

Event info is here.

My race plan for this one is:
take a mini tent like Gerry lent me to keep my stuff dry (thanks Gerry, that was brilliant)
eat some food this time
try not to go _too_ mental
more speed, less singing!

Is this a 12 hour race?

Aw, I love you guys, I was expecting a chorus of boos

BWM, yeah, 12 hours at night! If you're stuck nearer the time I can give you a lift, usual conditions apply - no guarantee of getting there, no heating, putting up with me singing...

D2D? How is Jed and Ron going to survive this one? Going to enter just to get the lights!
And hopefully get some sleep on the bike. T1212 was sooo good (even with sporadic lights) that I can't turn this down.

Re: Dusk 'Til Dawn 1 year, 9 months ago #5186

If they also rent out spare legs I'll consider it.

Hmmm ... Looks as though the 'Men of Steel' have experienced meltdown & will be returning with the addition of some stronger alloys, namely Old Sid & Martin, at D2D. A real force to be reckoned with I'd say.

I'm up for the challenge though so if anyone is looking for another teammate I'll gladly join forces with you under another MBRO35 banner.

Are you sorted yet Miles? Omi, Tommy, would either of you be up for a reunion?

Don't forget registration closes on 10th September so we'll need to hurry if were gonna fly the MBRO35 flag again.

Hello Martin,

I'd be happy to make up a team with you & 1 or 2 others.

I've asked Omi & Hannah if they'd be interested but haven't heard back yet.
I was also thinking of asking ; James, FBC, Rob(beer), Straitty, Rob(P) or Duncan if they'd be interested.

If you're out on Wednesday night you might be able to cajole someone into joining us.

Let me know either way.

Mmmm..... Tempting.

Can't believe I'm doing this but baring in mind that it's quite close to the closeure of entries for D2D and that I'm going to be there anyway does anyone who may also be undecided about doing it want to join Pat and I in a team?

No need to feel any pressure to say yes as I really am happy to keep Ron and TT company by drinking beer and tending the BBQ all night.

COME ON! GET STUCK IN!!!

('Coz we'll all probably get stuck. It is Thetford after all!)

I'm doing this entry, because time is running short. Does anyone know Mart's details? I can guess his sex, lie about his age, but I could do with a surname..... Probably:S

So, we're nailing this as a threesome? Can The Milester get another team going? What a great idea that would be. Come on "Mile's Marauders" or "Mashers"

Mile's Mahoosive Mincing Marauders?

Miles & The Munchers?

"Where's my snorkel?"

(and I've done the entry for the "MBro-thers". That's Slammer, Fast Mart (better get that the right way 'round!) et Moi. All we need is some roccstarr names on our shirts.

Thanks for singing me up Leaky.

Re: Dusk 'Til Dawn 1 year, 9 months ago #5485

You bagged the Mexican! Nice work Miles now all I need to do is bag Rons Honda for the race & we're sorted.

Even better the Mexican will be in peak condition. He wont expect any sleep at night at the moment.

Neil, you've got it all wrong. I'm not intending to ride, I thought we'd send him out for 12 hours while we get on the beer!

Martin, I think that's 4 teams now and a couple of solos's. Not sure if James has registered. No doubt there will be a gang of support too.
