Hey,

I know you guys ride bikes but I know that some of you like the idea of triathlons too, Kaff?! I've decided to have a go at the 3km open swim in Southend in a week or so's time. Would anybody like to try it with me? I've never done it before but I swam 1350 in the pool last night in an hour so how hard can it be! Well easy if the tide is with you I guess ...

Oh and if anybody has a tri suit I could borrow - that would be ace

Here's a link to entice. In aid of the fantastic Havens Hospices charity:

Emma,

Would have been tempted but it's on a Saturday and you need to raise at least £100 sponsorship. I hate asking for sponsorship so will give it a miss.

It's a shame coz I think it would have been good to do it.

Just to warn you it's much harder than swimming in the pool as we found out when we did Lake Windermere. Thought I was going to drown.

Kaff - you want to do it so you should! Honestly, raising £100 is not difficult. Particularly because it's not as if you're doing a 3k walk which is pretty dull and easy. It's difficult so people like to sponsor! I'll sponsor you £5 and I'm sure the other guys on here would too.

Any sponsors for Kaff?!

Kaff I will sponsor you if you sponsor me! I also fancy it but it is too much to raise, especially at this short notice.

Emma - Im intending to organise a Burgh island swim in september. Its 1 mile open water swim around a Devon island! followed by lots of food. We'll do a bit of surfing and mbr ing as well so if you're intereseted let me know.

Helen/Kaff - 100 quid is not alot! It's only £90 now as I'm going to sponsor kaff etc! Don't make me go it alone

Yes to burgh island if I'm not away. I know it well, have had a couple of holidays there but windsurfing and surfing. They filmed some poirot episodes in the hotel on the island - it's very posh! But they have a lovely pub attached and that funny sea tractor that takes you across.

Maybe we could join it unofficially. Hide round the back of the Pier or something.
