The Tour de France starts this Saturday, and the norm for the first day is a short prologue time trial. The Navestock guys and gals do the same.

The Friday Navestock time trial this week is 5 miles, one lap and not the usual 10 mile 2 laps.

So, this Friday, who up for a 5 mile sprint.

Sparky, first rule of the unknown. Do it as someone else!

Still can't believe how tough it was to get the speed right, I only did half the normal distance and was done for half way round.

And how fast was the girl that won it?

dont feel bad about getting beaten by Nikki..... she is one of the best amatuer ladies in the country, she also got 7th in the Elite ladies Nocturne this year, 3rd the year before and usually top in in the national ladies events.

Hard work going round when you can't get enough air but great feeling when it's over!

Re: Five mile sprint 1 year, 10 months ago #4215

Well I gave it a go, if that answers your question!

They are a real friendly bunch, surprised you've not been there already.

Sparks, there is a 'heavy bones' category.
It takes a lot of time, effort, planning and training to look so ungainly on a bike!
