Ok, Swinley Forest on Bank Holiday Monday the 27th Dec2010

Looks like Barry has sorted out a guide for the day which is great.  Im sure we have some GPS details from the last adventure too.
Last big group ride of the year in 2010.

Details

The journey takes about an hour so for those people getting together at this end I suggest a 9.30 meet in the usual car park which should get you there in time for an 11am start once bikes are unloaded etc.

Swinley Forest Map

The area available for riding is approximately 2600 acres with many miles of tracks. The forest map shows the boundaries of the areas available to ride. If you are not familiar with the land it is recommended that you purchase this full colour detailed map from The Discovery Centre. The purpose built singletrack trails within the Expert Mountain Bike Area are not marked so find a likely looking track and ride it. Just be aware that there maybe oncoming cyclists.

Yep, there is a small charge for riding there.

Annual Permit = £20
or for a Half-year £15 after 1st October.Permits are valid until 31st March 2011

Day Permit = £2
Day permits can be purchased in advance of your visit online, or on the day from the Lookout Discovery Centre.
