MTB Results
This years Beastway starts on Wednesday 18th May at Redbridge Cycle Circuit (Hog Hill).
Series runs every Wednesday evening for 11 weeks culminating in a Team Race event.

Here's a quick guide to what group you can expect to be racing in at MTB events for the coming 2011 season.
Categories
Youth B (U14) - born between 1997-99
Youth A (U16) - born between 1995-96
Junior - born between 1993-94
Sport - born between 1982-92
Master - born between 1972-81
Veteran - born between 1962-71
Grand Vet - born before that.
Expert - Fast people born 1992 or earlier
Novice - Slow people born 1992 or earlier
Single Speed - People born 1994 or earlier, riding single-speeds
Team race
The final event on July 27th will be the popular Team Race and Series Prize giving.
Races
Included in the series is an Overall Women’s competition, to enable different women’s categories to race against each other.
All races finish at around 8:30pm, everyone finishes on the same lap as the leader. It is expected that the leading Expert riders to complete
about 8 laps, and the Youths probably 4 or 5. The lap length will usually be approximately 2 miles.
There are changing facilities and showers for your convenience and pleasure.
There are cash prizes each week totalling over £250 across all categories. Beastway aim to spread the prize list as far down the field as they can.
There will be Series prizes awarded at the end of the series to the highest ranked riders, provided they have competed in a minimum of 5 races.
HELP!
Beastway rely on clubs and teams help out by help with course setting and marshalling each week. Beastway still need more clubs to help with this - if you can help, they would love to hear from you.
Beastway also make a donation to clubs who commit their time.
People who help out are given marshalling points and if you help with course setting from 3pm you get a FREERACE!
EntryFees:
- £6 for Youth A&B (U16&U14)
- £8 for Juniors, Students (with NUS), unemployed (with UB40), OAPs (with bus pass)
- £12 for Sport cat and older
For all categories there is a one-off £4.00 charge for registration the first time you come, when you are given your number board and timing chip, which you keep for the whole series.
